GRANGE BADMINTON CLUB
Congratulations to the 5th division team who recently won the County League and went on to represent Tipperary in the Munster Championship. In this they played Clare in the quarter final, beating them 4 straight games, they then went on to meet Kerry in the semi-final, beating them 4-3. They then met Limerick in the final and were beaten 3-4 in a tightly fought contest. Limerick however, was unable to take part in the All-Ireland final, so Grange was asked as runners up to represent Munster. The final was held in Baldoyle Badminton Centre in Dublin, on Sunday last with Grange having to play both Mayo and Laoise in a round robin contest in which they lost out in the end by just 2 points in a well contested competition. Team: Maeve Maher, Eithne Power, Joanne Kelly, Maureen O’Shea, John Teehan, Robbie Campion, P.J. Gleeson and Damien Healy.

JUVENILE BADMINTON
The final of the juvenile home league was held on Friday night last in the hall in Grange. The competition turned out to be a nail biting affair with the result going down to the last match between the two captains. The winning team were: Anthony Morris, James Treacy, Amy Norton, Aidan Purcell, Richard Purcell, Paul Ryan, Chloe Holohan and Felicity Morris. The runners-up were: Tommy Duggan, Adrian Maher, Denise Ryan, Brian Kelly, Stephen O’Riordan, Ronan Teehan, Killian Duggan and Katie Treacy.
