Morning Masses
Gortnahoe: each morning except Friday at 9.30
Glengoole: Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday at 9.30.

Family Mass for March
The Family Mass for March will be on this Sunday 2nd March in Glengoole at 10.00 and Gortnahoe at 11.15.

Temperance Sunday
Annual Temperance Sunday comes this week-end, as we come to celebrate Lent, a time for sacrifice. We encourage people to observe Temperance for Lent by staying off alcohol during the Lenten season.

Ash Wednesday
Ash Wednesday is this Wednesday, the first day of Lent and is a day of fast and abstinence. Masses will be in Glengoole at 9.30 and 7.00. Masses will be in Gortnahoe at 9.30 and 8.00. Ashes will be blessed and distributed.

First Thursday
Glengoole: Mass in Latin at 7.00.

First Friday
Glengoole: Confessions 6,30 Mass 7.00.

World Day of Prayer
Prayer Service for World Day of Prayer will be in Gortnahoe on Friday night 7th at 7.00, followed by Mass at 8.00.

Trocaire
Boxes for all families of the parish are available on the seats in the Church this week-end. Please give generous contributions at the end of Lent so that this year access to clean water, which is so important, can be made available to so many in the poorer parts of the world. Thanks to all.

G.A.A. Lotto
There was no winner of the 10,600 Jackpot this week. The numbers drawn were 2, 8, 14 & 27. Lucky Dip winners were Bridget Stokes, Urlingford, John McCormack, Mullinahone, Teresa Casey, Mary Willies and Noreen Tyrell, Fennor. €25.00 Sellers Prize was Jimmy Meighan, Foilacamin. Next Draw 2nd March at Mary Willies. Jackpot €10,800.

Grange Village
The Post Box in Grange Village, with permission from an Post, is now situated adjacent to the Phone Box in the village.

Juvenile G.A.A.
Child protection in sport/code of ethics: Information night will be held in Gortnahoe School Hall on Wednesday March 5th at 6.45. It is of benefit to parents and anyone dealing with children in sport, and is essential to all coaches. Anyone who wants to attend should contact Gerry Kavanagh 086 3770341 or Maeve Maher 087 7986615. It is free to all.

Defibrillator Meeting
Defibrillator Meeting will be held on Monday night 3rd March at 8.00 in Glengoole Hall. All members please make an effort to attend.
