Gortnahoe: each morning except Friday at 9.30
Glengoole: Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday at 9.30.

World Meeting of Families
Pope Francis has chosen Ireland for he 9th World Meeting of Families which will be held in Dublin in 2018. This will be a really important meeting to promote family life in the world and may be marked by a visit to Ireland of Pope Francis. To prepare for this occasion a special Church Collection will be held in all churches in Ireland this week- end, 28th & 29th of May. This extra collection will be taken up after Communion at all masses on Saturday and Sunday . Please give generously to support such an important event.

Education of Priests Collection
The Annual Education of Priests Collection will be taken up at all Masses next week-end, 4th and 5th June. Envelopes for the Collection were distributed at the beginning of the year. Please give generously.

Family Mass for June
Family Mass for June will be on Sunday next 5th June, in Glengoole at 10.00 and in Gortnahoe at 11.15. Theme for the Mass is “Raising to New Life”.

Year of Mercy Reflection
Mercy is the beating heart of the Gospel. True mercy, the mercy God gives us and teaches us, demands justice. It demands that the poor find the way to be poor no longer. (Pope Francis).

Eucharistic Adoration
Glengoole, Wednesday from 10.00 to8.00.
Gortnahoe Thursday 10.00 to 7.00. Come to spend the hour in adoration.

Tidy Towns Thanks
Gortnahoe Tidy Towns express their thanks to all who supported their recent Fund Raising Celebration. €2329 was raised.

Senior Citizens Club Day
Gortnahoe Senior Citizens Club Day will be on Tuesday 31st at 2.30. in the Hall. A lady will be present to do Chair exercises. This the last Club Day of the year. We will return in September.

Cycle Challenge Sunday, June 12
Glengoole United Cycle Challenge will take place on Sunday 12th June. Route and information on Parish posters. Entry €20.00. Registration and route information from 10.00 in Glengoole Hall.

Clothes Collection in aid of Meals on Wheels
A Clothes Collection in aid of Meals on Wheels Service is taking place soon and we ask you to please drop off unwanted items at the MFRC Centre, Glengoole, before 4pm Thursday 23rd June.

Safe Talk – Suicide alertness for everyone
Half day training will take place in the Centre, Thurs 16th June from 9.30 to 1.00. Contact 052 9157902.

Irish Cancer Society Thanks
Irish Cancer Society thanks all for their generosity to last week-end Church Gate Collections. €891.30 was donated in the parish.

Church Gate Collection for Tidy Towns
Ballynonty Tidy Towns are holding a Church Gate Collection on Sat. May 28th & Sun. May 29th to raise funds to develop Glengoole Road.

Closing Down Sale
After over 70 years in business, Kavanagh’s Drapery, Urlingford is closing down on June 24th. Thanks to their loyal customers throughout the years. A Sale, including school uniforms, begins on May 27th.
