Collection for Diocesan Needs
The Annual Collection for the Diocesan Needs is being taken up this week-end. Saturday 4th and Sunday 5th March. Envelopes were distributed at the beginning of the year. Please give generously to this Collection.
Trocaire Envelopes available in curches
Lenten Trocaire Envelopes will be available in both Churches this week-end. May the Lord inspire us this year during Lent to be really generous to people living in such poverty and famine by our contributions to Trocaire.
Confirmation
Sincerest congratulations to all who received their Confirmation this week. May the strength of the Holy Spirit keep them all close to God.
Folk Choir Practice
Gortnahoe Folk Choir will hold a practice in Gortnahoe Church on Wednesday 8th March from 7.30 to 8.30. This is in preparation for Evening Mass on 16th March and the Easter Ceremonies. All interested in singing or playing, please come along.
Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament
Weekly adoration of the Blessed Sacrament in Glengoole Church on Wednesday from 10.00 to 8.00 and Gortnahoe Church on Thursday from 10.00 to 7.00. We encourage as many as possible to visit Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament.
Scripture Classes During Lent in Fethard
Diocesan Scripture Classes During Lent will continue at Fr. Tirry Hall, Fethard on Thursday nights at 7.30pm. A very warm welcome to all from surrounding parishes to attend and value such learning and participation.
Vocations Reflection
Jesus was led by the Holy Spirit into the desert for forty days and nights of prayer and fasting. Are you open to being led by the Holy Spirit into the state of life God has prepared for you? A Clothes Collection in aid of MFRC Community Child Care Service. Please drop in unwanted clothing, footwear, bags etc. to the Centre by 8th March before 4.00. Thank you sincerely.

There was no winner of this week’s Jackpot. Seller’s Prizewinner was Ryan’s Shop, Gortnahoe. Next Week’s Draw will be on Thursday 9th March at Hogans, Ballysloe, for Jackpot of €5,400.

Prayer for the Sick
Jesus my friend, Jesus our healer and divine physician, I place into your hands all those who carry the cross of illness. Jesus, under your own cross you felt its weight and worry, its pain and suffering. Please help all those who are sick, send your Holy Spirit with healing and strength, with hope and consolation. Be with all those who are weak at this time be close to their families and all those who care for them. Amen.
