Family Mass
Family Mass for May is on this Sunday 6th May in Glengoole at 10.00 and in Gortnahoe at 11.15. A warm welcome to all to these Masses.

First Communion
First Communion for the children of Glengoole and Ballysloe Schools took place on this Saturday . Congratulations and God’s blessing on the children, their teachers and on their families.

Adoration
Glengoole: Wednesday from 10.00 to 8.00.
Gortnahoe Thursday from 10.00 to 7.00.

Protection of all Life
As we come closer to the Referendum vote in such a way as guarantees the protection of all life from conception to death.

Adoration for the protection of the unborn
24 Hour Adoration for the protection of the unborn will be in Thurles Cathedral from Friday May 18th at 7.30 to Mass on Saturday May 19th at 7.30.

Preparation for the Annual Parish Exam Mass
This year this Mass will be held in Glengoole Church on next Friday 11th May at 7.30... Each year those doing public Exams receive a personal invitation to attend this Mass These invitations are already in the post. If you have been overlooked, please accept our apology. Please come along to the Mass We ask all those willing to be involved in the Mass to give your name to either priests early this week.

Camogie Tournament
Camogie Club U 16 Tournament, in memory of Emily Wilson, will be on Sunday 13th May starting at 1.30. All are invited to attend this special day.

St. Vincent de Paul Society
A very special night will be for the Table Quiz at Hogans, Ballysloe on Friday night next 11th May, starting at 9.00. Tables are €20.00 per table. All proceeds for the Society. Come along.

Christmas Pilgrimage to the Holy Land

World Meeting of Families Choirs
At The Papal Mass in August a massed choir of 5,000 will lead the singing in the Phoenix Park. Up to 74 strong choir members from the archdioceses will take part. If you wish to be involved come to a gathering beside Bothar na Naomh Church , Thurles on 10th May at 8.00.

Gortnahoe-Glengoole G.A.A.
Tom O’Hara Memorial U 21 Inter County Hurling Tournament match with Tipperary playing Kilkenny will be in Gortnahoe Field on Monday night 7th May at 7.00. Come along.

There was no winner of the Jackpot of €17,200 . Numbers drawn were 7 ,12, 16 & 21, Lucky Dip winners were Teresa Bartley, Rathbeg, Joan Hayes, Rathdowney, Helen Heffernan, Glengoole, William Hogan, Ballysloe. Sellers Winner was Jimmy Meighan.. Next week’s Draw Thurs 10th May at Hogans, Ballysloe. Jackpot of €17,400.
