Gluten Free Holy Communion
Gluten Free Holy Communion is available at all Masses.

The Rosary
The Rosary will be recited before Mass in Glengoole every Saturday evening.

Eucharistic Adoration

  • Glengoole Wed 10am to 2pm 
  • Gortnahoe Thurs 10am to 1pm.

Baptism
We welcome Fiadh Margaret Hayes, Ballysloe, and Sophia Mary Delaney, Gortnahoe, both as members of our parish community and as members of God’s family.

First Friday Communion Calls
Fr. Walton will bring Communion to the housebound, elderly and sick (By prior arrangement) on Fri, 3rd Oct after 9.30am Mass in Glengoole.

Clergy Collection
The Third collection for the Support of the Clergy of the Archdiocese (active and retired) will be taken up next week-end, 4th/5th October. Target for the parish is €28,908. To date, €14,698.has been received and as always your generosity is appreciated. Please make payments by cheque payable to ‘Gortnahoe Parish’.

Jubilee Celebration
Join us for the 50th Anniversary of the Restoration of Holycross Abbey on Sunday Oct. 5th, Mass at 3.00pm. followed by a Community Gathering with music in The Marquee (Padre Pio Garden) from 4.30 to  7.30 pm. All very welcome.

Thurles Young Adult Prayer
In Bóthar na Naomh Church on 1st and 3rd Friday of the month at 8pm. Adoration, prayer, scripture and reflection. Sept. 19th. Oct. 3rd and 17th.

Adoration and Healing through Padre Pio
Adoration and Healing through Padre Pio in Bothár Na Naomh Church on Mon. 29th Sept. at 6pm, Mass at 7pm and Blessing with Padre Pio 1st Class Relic. Celebrant Fr. John Mockler. All are welcome.

WHY SUNDAY MATTERS?

Ballysloe
Breakfast on Sunday 28th Sept from 10am till 12.30. 
Gortnahoe Bingo every Saturday evening at 4pm. Over €2,660 in prize money.

Ballysloe NS Fundraiser
24-hour Puckathon in the school field beginning at 10am on Fri, 17th Oct in aid of much needed funds for a new prefab for the school and which will also serve as a ‘future community hub’ for everyone to enjoy.

National Positive Ageing Week
 Sept 29th – Oct. 3rd. Theme for 2025 is ‘The Joy of Ageing’ – celebrating ageing and the contribution of older people
