Parish Renewal and Development
In February 2003 Fr. Pat Burns launched Parish Renewal and Development in our parish. During week-end Masses and at public meetings he pointed out the importance of priests and people working together for the development of the faith in the parish. A Parish Team of volunteers was formed and it has continued to meet monthly since then. The present team is Joan Morris, Teresa Bartley, Carmel Troy, Richard Dunne, Robert Hogan, Denis Noonan, Stella Lanigan, Fr. John O'Rourke and Fr. John O’Keeffe. A number of developments have been launched by the team, such as our annual parish calendar, the development of the Gortnahoe enlarged choir, Glengoole liturgy group and most recently the weekly parish newsletter. You have your part to play also, so we invite you to join us at our monthly meeting in Gortnahoe Hall on Tuesday night next at 8.30. It ends at 10.00.

A Harvest Prayer
Lord God, you are the source of growth and abundance, you have made creation and our work fruitful by giving us a rich harvest. May we gratefully receive the gifts of the earth, use them wisely and share them unselfishly, mindful of all who are in need. We make this prayer, through Christ our Lord. Amen
