Morning Masses

  • Glengoole: each morning at 9.30.
  • Gortnahoe: each day at 9.30

Cemetery Prayers
Cemetery Prayers will be said on all Sundays in Gortnahoe and Glengoole after 11.00 Mass, in Fennor, Boulick and Aglish, at 1.30, in Ballinalacken at 3.00 and in Johnstown at 2.30.

Collection
The annual Collection for the support of the Missions will be taken up this week-end. If you have overlooked it, please contribute as soon as possible.

Whist Drive
We are very glad  to announce and express our gratitude to Kilcooley Church of Ireland Parish who are organising a Whist Drive for our church funds in The Hill School on this Friday night  24th November. We encourage full support for this Drive from all Whist players and their friends. We welcome prizes for that night’s Raffle to the priests or at the Drive. 

Meeting
There will be a meeting of the St. Vincent de Paul Conference in Ballysloe School on Tuesday night at 7.30.

Workshop
There will be a workshop on How to prepare a Liturgy for Children in St Patrick’s College, Thurles on Monday 27th November from  7.30 to 9.30.

Marriage
If you intend getting married during 2007 make sure the State and the priest of your parish is given at least three months notice.
Full information on Pre-Marriage Courses is also in the Church porch.

Glengoole School Quiz team
Congratulations to the Glengoole School Quiz team on winning the annual Scoil Ruain, Killenaule Science Quiz Cup competition. The team members, Kelly Morris, Thomas Lanigan, Cathal Egan and Conor Holohan. Received the cup and prizes from Susan Meagher M.C.C.

Conference
Tipperary Institute, Thurles is organising Ceiliuradh 2006 on Celebrating Life and Learning on 29th and 30th November. Full details on talks and workshops fron the Institute at 0504 28123 or on local papers.
 

Sale of Work
Sunday 3rd December is the date of the annual Gortnahoe Community Association Sale of Work. Proceeds go to the running and upkeep of the Hall. A circular will be handed into each home soon. We depend on your generosity and help. If you can help in any way, give your name to the Post Office or any member of the Association.

G.A.A.
The Annual General Meeting of the Club takes place on Saturday next 25th at 8.15 in the Club Rooms, Gortnahoe. All are welcome. It will be followed by a social night in Kavanaghs, Glengoole, with local musicians.

Closing orders for Club gear will be on 28th November. Everybody in the club wishes a speedy recovery to Johnny Stokes after his operation.

A special invitation from the Juvenile Club to all interested in coaching and development of our young players to a Foundation Coaching Course being run over three nights in Gortnahoe Hall starting on Monday night next at 7.30. Further details from committee members, or just come along.

Lord, pour out your blessings on engaged couples. In your providence you have brought them together. Help them to prepare well for their marriage. Bring them closer together in respect and trust. As you have given themselves to each other, help them to give themselves to you. May you love be upon them as they place their hope in you.  Amen.
