There will be a meeting of the St. Vincent de Paul Conference in Ballysloe School on Tuesday night at 7.30
Community Games
Congratulations to Gortnahoe-Glengoole Under 13 boys 5-a-side Soccer team who won the County Final on Thursday night after a penalty shoot-out. They will represent Tipperary in the Munster Finals in July. Well done to all.
Boys Under 15 Indoor Soccer on Tuesday night 24th April. Meet outside Gortnahoe Hall at 7.45. € 2.00 per person.
Athletics
Competitions in Gortnahoe G.A.A.Field on Monday night 23rd April starting at 7.00 sharp. The age group is Under 6 up to under 16. Entry is € 2.00. Children must be under their age group at 31st July 2007. Come along and join in the fun.
Summer Camp
Glengoole and Ballysloe N.S. Summer Camp meeting for parents on Tuesday 24th April from 9.30 a.m.to 10.00 a.m. in Glengoole N.S. (If there are no parents interested in getting involved, the camp will not go ahead)
Senior Citizens
Gortnahoe Senior Citizens monthly Get-together will be on Tuesday 24th April at 2.30 in Gortnahoe Community Centre. Please contact Ring-A-Link to arrange transport the day before.
Gortnahoe Church Fund Raising
Very successful fund raising ventures have been organised in the past week, the G.A.A. Table Quiz on Friday 13th and the Gortnahoe-Glengoole Gun Club Raffle on Friday 20th. They have been wonderful sources of funds and full details next week. We very much welcome donations from those with parish connections who no longer live in the parish and from all other supporters of the restoration of Gortnahoe Church.
Holiday
The annual Carne Holiday takes place from Saturday 2nd to Friday 8th June. Names and deposit of € 50.00 must be given to Nellie Prout by April 24th Consider this great holiday. All information from Vincent de Paul Society.
G.A.A.
Junior Hurling: Our A team play Loughmore-Castleiney on Sunday morning at 12.00 in Gortnahoe in our final league fixture. A win here will see us qualify for the semi-final. Our B team commence their league on Sunday evening away to Clonakenny at 5.30.
Intermediate Hurling: Training continues on Tues. and Thurs night at 7.45.
Under 21 Hurling: We defeated Moyne in the first round of the championship last Saturday and have now qualified for the semi-final
Mid Board Patrons: Everyone interested in becoming a patron of the forthcoming pictorial and history books of the Mid Board are asked to contact the Club as soon as possible
Drug Awareness
A seminar for all parents of children aged between 12 and 18 on drugs will take place on Tuesday night at 8.00 in Boherlahan Hall.
