Lent
Lent should be a special time for all of us, of all ages. Our prayers should be more sincere and said more often; we should chose some work that would demand a real sacrifice from us and we should make it a time of charity, especially to Trocaire or some other charity. All will help to prepare for the better celebration of Holy Week and Easter.

Gortnahoe Youth Choir
Youth Choir Pracrice in Gortnahoe Church will be cancelled for Monday 15th February because of Mid-Term break from school. Practice will re-commence on Monday 22nd February at 5.30.

Taekwando
Taekwando will be practiced in Gortnahoe Hall every Tuesday night from 8.00 to 9.00, for adults and children. All are welcome.

Good Shepherd Cemetery
To ensure that the cemetery is kept clean and tidy and that no refuse that does not belong to the cemetery is left, the bins will be parked further down the cemetery, nearer to all the graves.

What Jesus says about our Lenten Practices
“When you pray, go to your private room and when you have shut the door pray to your Father who is in that secret place, and your Father who sees all that is done in secret will reward you.

When you give alms, your left hand must not know what your right hand is doing; your almsgiving must be secret, and your Father will reward you”.
