Collection
The Annual Collection for His Holiness the Pope, Peter’s Pence, is being taken up this weekend. Please give generously to this cause. If you have overlooked it, please contribute as soon as possible.

First Thursday
Glengoole: Mass in Latin will be at 6.30 this Thursday.

First Friday
Glengoole: Confession 6.30. Mass 7.00.
Gortnahoe: Confessions 7.30. Mass 8.00.

First Saturday
Gortnahoe: Devotions of Reparation and Mass at 9.30.

Knock
The annual Diocesan Pilgrimage to Knock is taking place this Sunday 1st August. Please remember all pilgrims in your prayers, especially those who are ill or invalided.

Fennor Cemetery Mass
The annual cemetery Mass in Fennor will be on Thursday next 5th August at 7.30. Please pray for a fine evening. We ask families to tend to their graves before the mass.

Boulick Cemetery Mass
Because of the All-Ireland Semi-Final on August 15th the Annual Boulick Mass will now be on Sunday 8th August at 7.00. Please pass this information on to everyone who would be attending the annual Mass. Help to clean and paint around the cemetery will be most welcome on this Monday 2nd August after lunch. Keep our cemetery beautiful.

Gortnahoe Old School Building
Due to age and lack of use the Old building has become a danger from falling slates in wind, etc. A public meeting will be held to decide on steps necessary regarding its future. Please consider the matter.

Altar Servers Outing
A Day Trip for our Parish Altar Servers will take place on Thursday 19th August, leaving Gortnahoe at 10.00. Names to be left at either sacristy or given to Fr. Joe before August 8th. Parents who would like to go as helpers, please leave names and numbers also.

Senior Citizens Outing
Gortnahoe Senior Citizens Outing is on this Tuesday 3rd August. Bus will leave Community Hall after 9.30 Mass that morning.

Gortnahoe Youths FC
Soccer training continues every Friday evening between 7.00 and 8.00 in Gortnahoe Community Field. All Primary school children welcome. Cost per session € 2.00.

Our Lady of Knock, Queen of Ireland, you gave hope to your people in a time of distress and comforted them in sorrow. Help me to remember that we are all pilgrims on the road to heaven. Fill me with concern for my brothers and sisters in Christ, especially my family and friends.
