Clerks’ Collection
The Annual Collection for our Sacristans will be taken up next week-end. Envelopes for this collection are included in the boxes of envelopes. Please give generously in recognition of their wonderful care and attention to all that goes on in our churches and care of our churches.

Week of Prayer for Christian Unity is this week
The Annual Ecumenical Service will be in Kilcooley Church on Sunday next 26th January at 7.00. A warm welcome to all to this Service and an invitation to join in the prayers and singing.

Regional Open Evening at St. Patrick’s College
Regional Open Evening at St. Patrick’s College, Thurles on Tuesday 28th January at 7.00. in collaboration with The University of Limerick, Mary Immaculate College, Limerick and Limerick Institute of Technology. Leaving Cert Students, mature students, Post Graduation students and parents welcome. St. Patrick’s College offers teacher education programmes which are accredited by the University of Limerick and are recognised by the Teaching Council. St. Vincent de Paul Society
St. Vincent de Paul Society expresses their sincerest thanks to all who were present to help at the Bag Pack and made it a great success. There will be a meeting of the conference in Ballysloe School on Monday at 7.30.

Pilates Classes
Pilates Classes in Gortnahoe Hall with a Chartered Physiotherapist will commence on Wednesday 5th February 2014. Contact Marie at 087 7987449.

Saturday Night Bingo
Bingo continues each Saturday night in Gortnahoe Hall at 8.30. Over €1,600 in Prize money plus Jackpot. Support from the parish much appreciated.

Vehicle Run 2013
Many thanks to all who participated and contributed to the Vehicle Run held on St. Stephens Day. The total raised was €3,900.00 with the proceeds going to the Jack and Jill Foundation, the Gortnahoe Playground Fund and to The Special Olympics. Special thanks to Breda Pollard for making the soup and to all volunteers who helped on the day.

G.A.A. Lotto
There was no winner of the €9,600 Jackpot. The numbers drawn were 7, 11, 21 and 25. Lucky Dip Winners were Paddy Stapleton, Gortnahoe, Kenneth Hickey, Georges Park, Bridget Hogan, Gortnahoe, Bridie Dalton, Glengoole. Sellers Prize winner was Michael Cahill. Next Draw on 23rd January at Mary Willies for Jackpot of €9,800.00.

Pilgrimage to Lourdes
