Canonisation this Sunday
The Canonisation of Pope John XXIII and Pope John Paul II by Pope Francis takes place in St. Peter’s Basilica in Rome this Sunday. It is a great privilege that we are still alive to see two Popes who have lived in our lifetime being honoured by the Church. Let our prayers and intercessions be directed to them now and in the future.

Morning Masses
Gortnahoe: each morning except Friday at 9.30.
Glengoole: Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday at 9.30

First Thursday
Glengoole: Mass in Latin at 7.00.

First Friday
Glengoole: Confessions 6.30. Mass 7.00
Gortnahoe: Confessions 7.30. Mass 8.00.

Family Mass
The Family Mass for the month of May will be on Sunday next 4th May, in Glengoole at 10.00 and in Gortnahoe at 11.15. The Theme for the Mass is “Courage to Believe”. Remember and pray especially for Emily Wilson and her family, as this is the anniversary of her death. Meeting of all involved on Monday night at 7.30.

Readers Group

Mass for Exam Students
Annual Mass for Exam Students will take place in Gortnahoe Church on Friday night 9th May at 8.00 A meeting of all organisers will be in Gortnahoe Hall this Monday night at 8.30.. Please come along to ensure that all students sitting exams this year will receive a personal invitation. A welcoming invitation also to students from other parishes to come to join in the Mass.

St. Vincent de Paul
St. Vincent de Paul Society Meeting will be in Ballysloe School on Monday night at 7.30.

Vocation Sunday, May 11
Vocation Sunday is Sunday 11th May. St. John Paul II wrote, “The world looks to the priest, because it looks to Jesus. No one can see Jesus, but everyone sees the priest, and through him they wish to catch a glimpse of the Lord. Immense is the grandeur of the Lord. Immense is the grandeur and dignity of the priest” May this lead us to think of and value vocations.

Spring Clean Initiative
National Spring Clean Initiative, introduced by South Tipperary County Council. Please be more conscious of our environment and avoid leaving litter on roads. Special kits to help are available from the County Council.

Pioneer Total Abstinence Association Regional Annual Charity Walk now takes place on Sunday 11th April in Grange starting at 2.00. Sponsorship Cards are available from Fr. O’Rourke. Please support by getting a Card.
