Family Mass
The Family Mass for the month of May will be on this Sunday 4th May, in Glengoole at 10.00 and in Gortnahoe at 11.15. The Theme for the Mass is “Courage to Believe”. Remember and pray especially for Emily Wilson and her family, as this is the anniversary of her death. There will be a blessing of the stone and seat in memory of Emily in Gortnahoe GAA Field after 11.15 Mass on Sunday. All are welcome. Caitriona and Nic warmly thank all those involved in the Mass and this wonderful tribute.

Mass for Exam Students
Annual Mass for Exam Students will take place in Glengoole Church on Friday night 9th May at 8.00 We know how important their exams are for all students, so come along and make this a special occasion for all. A special invitation also to students from other parishes to come to join in the Mass.

First Communion
First Communion for the children of Glengoole and Ballysloe Schools will be on Saturday 10th in Glengoole Church at 11.00. Please remember them and their families in your prayers this week.

Vocation Sunday 11th May
Vocation Sunday is Sunday 11th May. St. John Paul II wrote, “The world looks to the priest, because it looks to Jesus. No one can see Jesus, but everyone sees the priest, and through him they wish to catch a glimpse of the Lord. Immense is the grandeur of the Lord. Immense is the grandeur and dignity of the priest” May this lead us to think of and value vocations

Vigil in honour of Our Lady of Fatima
Three Hour Vigil in honour of Our Lady of Fatima in the Pallottine College, Thurles on Tuesday 13th May from 7.30 to 10.30.pm. All welcome.

Thanks
A huge thanks to everybody who turned out and supported the fundraiser last Saturday night. We hope everybody had a great night. We are now taking orders for a DVD pack which includes the Show itself on one disc and a couple of hundred photos from the night on another disc. Cost €10.00. Orders to be in not later than 12th May.

Volunteers wanted

Annual Charity Walk
Pioneer Total Abstinence Association Regional Annual Charity Walk now takes place on Sunday 11th April in Grange starting at 2.00. Sponsorship Cards are available from Fr. O’Rourke. Please support by getting a Card.

Open Day
Irish Society for Colitis and Crohn’s Disease has its Open Day and AGM. On Saturday 10th May at Redission Blu Hotel, Golden Lane, Dublin 8. All those interested are welcome.
