Eucharistic Adoration
- Glengoole Wed 10am to 2pm
- Gortnahoe Thurs 10am to 1pm.
- Come sit awhile in silent prayer.
The Rosary
The Rosary will be recited before Mass in Glengoole every Saturday evening.
Exams
A candle will be lit in front of the altar in both Churches for all exam students doing the Junior & Leaving Certificate exams at this time.
Diocesan Services Collection
Administering the Archdiocese is the responsibility of the Archbishop and his staff working from the Diocesan Office. They are charged with the legal, financial and pastoral care of the Archdiocese, its priests, people, property and assets. Each parish (based on population) is asked to contribute and the target for Gortnahoe and Glengoole is €11,338. Your contribution to this collection which is currently been taken up (White envelope-June 1st) is very much appreciated. Cheque payable to ‘Gortnahoe Parish’.

Father’s Day – June 15th
As we celebrate today, Father’s Day, let us also reflect on “St. Joseph” – the silent, faithful father who protected and guided the Holy Family with gentle courage and devoted care. St. Joseph stands out as a spiritual role model, reminding us to honour and appreciate all our fathers, living & deceased, for their quiet strength, dedication and loving presence in family life.
Lourdes
Please keep in your prayers those from both the parish & the Archdiocese who are in Lourdes at the present moment on the Annual Diocesan Pilgrimage.
Church Fundraiser/Holiday change
For the past 10 years, Fr. Walton has collected foreign coins from his fellow priests to convert into euro as a fundraiser for a priest who is building a 2nd Church in his parish in Iceland due to a growing Catholic population If over the coming months you’re travelling to USA, Australia, New Zealand, Canada, Poland, U.A.E., Turkey, Ceska Republic, Ghana, Indonesia, South Africa, etc and require small change/coin, Fr. Walton will give what he has for a small donation in euro towards the Church in Iceland.
Gaza
“Words are not enough!” – At their Summer General Meeting in Maynooth during the past week, the Irish Bishops have called for solidarity at parish level – see the website: www.catholicbishops.ie A small number of copies can be found at the back of both churches.
Lough Derg Pilgrimage 2025
Cashel and Emly 3-day Pilgrimage will take place from Mon – Wed, June 23rd-25th. National Pilgrimage for Life
National Pilgrimage for Life on Sat, June 21st in Knock Shrine. Mass in the Basilica at 3pm with Anointing of the Sick. Main celebrant and homilist will be Bishop Martin Hayes

Kilcooley Parish Fete
Kilcooley Parish Fete on Sunday 22nd June from 1pm in Kilcooley Church grounds. Dog Show, Cake and Bottle Stalls, BBQ, Games, Plant Stall, Raffle, Teas and Coffee. All are welcome.
