Gortnahoe Folk Choir will sing at the Christmas Eve Mass in Gortnahoe at 8.00.

Christmas Collection
Sincerest thanks to all who contributed to the Collection for the Archbishop and priests this week-end. If you have overlooked it, please contribute as soon as possible.

Morning Masses
Glengoole: Each morning  at 9.30
Gortnahoe: Each morning except Tuesday at 9.30.

Flowers
Throughout the year and especially at Christmas, we admire the beautiful flowers in our churches. To cover the cost of the extra flowers, please contribute in the box in the church next week-end.

Charity Dance
You are all invited to the 3rd Annual Benefit Dance in aid of Sr. Anne Healy’s Appeal Fund. It will be in Gortnahoe Hall on Thursday night 28th December from 9.00 to 12.00.  Tickets € 5.00. A great night.

Church Fund Raising
If you are reading this on Saturday night make sure you support the Bingo which is being run by Gortnahoe Community Association for the Church Restoration Funds this Saturday. We are most grateful for the great effort they are putting into helping the Church Fund. We are certain that it will be a wonderful success.

Parish Annual
The Parish Annual is now available and is on sale in the church and in the local shops. It is a great read and a beautiful gift to those who have left the parish. The cost is € 7.00.

Ballysloe School
Sincerest thanks to the families and children of Ballysloe School for raising  € 113 for charity on a no uniform charity day.

Irish Wheelchair Association

Christmas Candle Prayer
We thank you, heavenly Father, for bringing us together this holy night. We thank you for sending us your Son, Jesus Christ, to be our light and hope on the way of life.  Bless us as we gather here and bless this Christmas Candle. Let it remind us of Christ, the Light of the World. As it shines in our window let us remember the poor and homeless and let our hearts open to all in need.  Amen.
