Sincere Thanks
Sincerest thanks to all who helped in the church during the past year, to our sacristans, altar servers, choirs and organists, those who decorated the sanctuaries, those who decorated the cribs, to our Eucharistic ministers, readers, collectors, all who distributed envelopes, our FAS participants, and all others involved. A special word of thanks to everyone involved in the restoration of Gortnahoe Church. It has involved a great deal of work and time by very many people, especially the committee, its officers, the building sub-committee, those who undertook so much of the work in raising the necessary finance. Sincerest thanks to all parishioners for their generous contributions. Sincerest thanks to all who gave donations, many of them very generous, during the year. Sincerest thanks to the organisations who have undertaken special fund-raising events for the Church Restoration Fund and to a number of groups already organising special charity events in the New Year.
Charity Bingo Night
Sincerest thanks to Gortnahoe Community Development Association for their wonderful Charity Bingo Night on December 23rd. The wonderful sum of € 2,000 was given to the Church Restoration Fund that night.

The special Masses will be in Glengoole Church at 7.00 and in Gortnahoe Church at 7.30. It will include a special blessing and memento of the occasion. It will be followed by refreshments in the halls for all. The occasion is being organised by the Parish Renewal and Development Group.

Old Year and New Year Prayer
Lord of all ages, you have brought us to the end of another year in your service. We praise you for the gifts you have given us, and for the ways we have been led to use them for your people and the world. Forgive us, Father, for our failures this year.
As we begin a new year in your service, let your Son be our leader and your Spirit our guide. Help us to work for your honour and glory and for the help of your people. We ask this through Christ our Lord. Amen.
