Church Unity
The Ecumenical Service for Church Unity will be in Gortnahoe Church on this Sunday 21st January at 7.00. We extend a very warm welcome back the Rev. Canon Barbara Fryday, who will preach the sermon and participate in the Service. There will be refreshments in the Hall after the Service. We extend a very warm welcome to everyone to the Service and afterwards.
Collection
The annual Collection for the sacristans of the parish will be taken up next week-end. We ask you to remember that this is the only collection for the sacristans taken up in the year, so we ask for a very generous response to our appeal. Envelopes for the year will be distributed this week.
Gortnahoe Senior Citizens Meeting
There will be a meeting of Gortnahoe Senior Citizens Committee on Thursday night next 25th January at 8.30 in Gortnahoe Hall. The monthly Club Day will be on Tuesday 30th January. There will be a very warm welcome for the members of Glengoole Senior Citizens Club to that Get-together.
Glengoole Senior Citizens
The members of Glengoole Senior Citizens are invited to attend Gortnahoe Senior Citizens Club Day on Tuesday 30th January. Anyone needing transport is asked to give their name to Mary Harding.
Community Games Meeting
The AGM of Gortnahoe-Glengoole Community Games will be held on Monday 22nd January in Gortnahoe Hall. It is essential that everyone interested attend, as it will decide the future of the Games in the parish.
Free Computer Classes
Free Computer Classes for people over 55 will start shortly in Ballingarry and Killenaule. To contact Ballingarry ring 052 54896 or Killenaule ring 052 56165.
Slieveardagh Sports Ltd
Slieveardagh Sports Ltd, which is part of Scoil Ruain, Killenaule and includes an astra turf pitch as well as other facilities, is opening on Monday 29th January at 7.00. For bookings ring Lucy at 087 0609630.

The adjourned Convention of the Club will take place on Friday 26th January.
The Dinner Dance will be on Friday 16th February in the Anner Hotel. Music by Midnight Run. Tickets available from Club officers, the Post Office and Vincent’s shop and P.J. Kavanagh’s public house. Order yours immediately.
Because of demand, club gear will again be available in the Community Hall, Gortnahoe on Friday 26th January from 6.30 to 8.00. Get your order in now.
Note and Support: The Juvenile Club will hold a Table Quiz in Coole Tavern, Ballysloe on Friday 26th at 10pm.
