Collection for our Sacristans
The annual Collection for our sacristans in Gortnahoe and Glengoole will be taken up next week-end. We appreciate the great and responsible work being done day in and day out by Josie and Bridie. This is the only Collection being taken up for them each year. So please be really generous. The envelope for the collection is included in the supply of envelopes being given to each home this week for the yearly Collections.

Trocaire Haiti Appeal
Sincere thanks to everyone who helped raise €5,285 for our fund last week-end. It is a fantastic response. Trocaire are working with Caritas in Haiti and your generosity is making a difference. The Fund is still open for anyone who may like to contribute by contacting the priests. Again sincere thanks to everyone.

Youth Choir Weekly Practice
Gortnahoe Church Youth Choir Weekly practice will begin again on Monday night 1st February at 5.30 . Their first Mass will be on Sunday 28th February at 11.15. Full information from Angela at 086 8657256.

Meeting
There will be a meeting of St. Vincent de Paul Conference in Ballysloe School on Tuesday night 26th January at 7.30.

Bible Talks
A Course of Talks on the Bible beginning on 11th February for 7 consecutive weeks from 7.30 to 9.00 will take place in the Pallottine College, Thurles. Cost € 50.00. (Students € 30.00). For booking contact Fr. John Egan at 087 0576169.

Illustrated Talk
Illustrated Talk “Kilcooley: From Cistercian Abbey to Country Estate” on Wednesday 27th January in The Heritage Centre, Killenaule at 8.00. Speaker: Richard Clutterbuck. Admission €5.00.

Drama Meeting
Glengoole-Gortnahoe Drama Group will hold a meeting in Glengoole Hall on Monday 25th January at 8.30. All are welcome.

Charity Dance
Please support the 6th Annual Benefit Dance in aid of Sr. Anne Healy’s Appeal Fund in Gortnahoe Hall on Friday night 29th January. Dancing from 9.30 to 12.30. Music by Owen Condon. Tickets € 10.00. Teas included.

Grange Draw
Grange Development Draw will be held at Hogans, Grange on Friday night 29th January. Come and enjoy the music and craic.

Table Quiz
Gortnahoe-Glengoole Juvenile G.A.A. Club will hold a Table Quiz in Mary Willies on Friday night 29th January at the usual time. Please support.

Scoil Ruain Open Evening
Scoil Ruain Open Evening will be held on Thursday evening 28th January from 7.30. Students wishing to enrol in September 2011 are also welcome to attend.

Information Night
Gortnahoe Youth F.C. are holding an information night in Gortnahoe Hall on Wednesday 27th January at 8.00. Parents of Primary School children are specially encouraged to come along. Your support for this new Club would be much appreciated.

Church Unity Week
The special Week of Prayer for Church Unity will be from this Sunday until Monday 26th January. A Special Prayer Service will be organised later.
